When Rocio Gomez the founder of Hummingbirds was introduced to the caregiving world in 2015, she knew she had found her true calling and passion in life. Her commitment to helping others has always been guided by her principle of being of service to others and her passion for interacting and connecting with people.

Before establishing Hummingbirds, Rocio worked various jobs, from selling tamales door to door, being a waiter at local restaurants to becoming a taxi and Uber driver. Her diverse experiences interacting with people from all walks of life have helped shape her into the exceptional caregiver she is today, with a profound understanding of others' needs and a strong sense of empathy and compassion.

Rocio found great purpose and satisfaction in professional caregiving as she realized that she could make a positive impact on the elder community. After seven years of private caregiving, she founded Hummingbirds in October 2021 with a mission to provide the highest quality of care to those in need.

Rocio leads a team of highly dedicated caregivers who share her vision and values. She is committed to selecting only the best care providers using the "family test" assessment to ensure their abilities align with Hummingbirds' mission of providing top-quality home care in Tacoma, Washington. If Rocio wouldn't trust a caregiver to work with her own family, they would not be part of the Hummingbirds Family.

Incredible!!

This lady is incredible! Always on point. She is positive and engaging with my 90 year old mother. She thinks ahead, does more than what is asked and really treats my mom as if she was part of the family. After dealing with the local caregiving services and letting go a few ladies in about a month period, I found Rocio. Mom does not like caregivers that hovered over her and did not like caregivers that hid in the back room. Rocio knows how to be always present without hovering and stays busy so mom does not feel like she is being baby sat. She is the best! Mom is very happy! I highly recommend Rocio.
